This professional development session equips K–12 educators with practical, science-based tools for managing and relieving headache and migraine symptoms using simple acupressure points and posture alignment strategies. Through hands-on training, teachers will learn how to incorporate these techniques into classroom routines to support student wellness, self-regulation, and academic readiness. Once learned, these skills can be modeled and taught to students, fostering a healthier, calmer, and more focused learning environment. No equipment is needed, and all techniques are safe, inclusive, and adaptable for students of all ages and abilities. Course Goals: Participants will: - Learn to recognize how the body can self-regulate to reduce migraines/headaches - Understand the connection between stress, lifestyle habits, and head pain - Practice repetitive mind-body skills for pain prevention and emotional resilience - Build self-reliance, confidence, and build common ground community support - Reduce dependency on medication and absenteeism - Repetitive daily skill-building techniques build community when modeled by staff and leads to mastery of skills, a cohesive classroom culture, and behavior modification

Boosting Student Achievement through Research-Based Breathwork & Self-Regulation Strategies

This dynamic professional development session equips K–12 educators and support staff with practical, science-backed breathing and self-regulation techniques to reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, manage feelings of emotional overwhelm, and enhance cognitive performance—for both themselves and their students. Grounded in the NeuroFit framework, these techniques are designed for immediate application in classrooms. Participants will explore how regulating breath directly influences nervous system balance, focus, and mental clarity, laying the foundation for improved student learning and classroom behavior. By modeling and embedding these daily breath practices into classroom routines, educators promote a culture of calm, resilience, and readiness to learn. Through regular practice and self-monitoring assessments, participants build the capacity to transition from stress to calm, promoting healthier learning environments and empowered teaching. The program supports long-term well-being by training the brain to adapt and overcome. When students feel safe and regulated, they are more capable of absorbing instruction, persisting through challenges, and meeting academic goals.
