No equipment is needed, and all techniques are safe, inclusive, and adaptable for students of all ages and abilities.

Course Goals

Participants will:

  • Learn to recognize how the body can self-regulate to reduce migraines/headaches

  • Understand the connection between stress, lifestyle habits, and head pain

  • Practice easy-to-perform repetitive mind-body skills for pain prevention and emotional resilience

  • Build self-reliance, confidence, and build a common ground community support

  • Improve classroom participation, reduce absenteeism and dependency on medication

  • Gain resources and curriculum guides to incorporate skills into classroom learning

  • Repetitive daily skill-building techniques build community when modeled by staff and lead to mastery of skills, a cohesive classroom culture, and behavior modification
